If you live in Cebu, there's one streetfood that everybody knows. The Balut. It's simply a  developing bird embryo (usually a duck) that is boiled and eaten from the shell. And if you do live in Cebu, I won't be surprised if you tell me you've already seen and tasted it. It usually looks like this:  But what I got in store for you is somehow an upgraded version of the traditional Balut.  Have you heard of Adobong Balut? Well, in a sense, it's simply as the word implies. It's Balut that's been cooked as Adobo. Adobo is a famous Filipino food made by cooking chicken or pork in oil sometimes marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, onion, garlic and calamansi. Which would look like this: Or Mmmmmmmmmm.. Yummy?
